Fatra, a.s. as one of the biggest producers of single ply waterproofing membranes for over 30 years has decided to expand the line of products with new product FATRASOL. It is waterproofing membrane with ability to transfer sun light into electrical energy .This energy can be used for private or business purpose, all depends on legislatives given by each country. Building integrated photovoltaic systems are becoming interesting solution for slowly upcoming energy and environmental depression.
FATRASOL - is roofing membrane with photovoltaic laminates made of amorphous silicon that protect roof against weather conditions and allows direct transfer of sun rays into electricity.
FATRASOL is identified for flat and low angle slopped roofs with minimum angle 3°.
Description of Photovoltaic roofing membrane
FATRASOL is composed of two layers. The bottom-waterproofing layer is TPO membrane Fatrafol 918 SG PV and the top one is thin flexible film photovoltaic laminate. Special adhesive bonds TPO membrane with PV laminates.
FATRASOL can be installed on unused roofs and transfer them into source of renewable energy. Low-weight bearing industrial and commercial roofs cannot withstand high weight of convectional solar panels
Advantages
• Installation of waterproofing insulation and photovoltaic system at once.
• Easy and quick installation
• Low weight (4,5kg/m2)
• Flexibility and resistance against weather conditions
• Minimum loss of power in high temperatures
• Building integrated photovoltaic
• Higher energy yield in low light conditions
• Fatrasol produce energy in no ideal orientation and tilt
